MTX JackHammer JH600 Amp with Kicker CVRs

by admin on July 30, 2010

MTX JackHammer JH600 is set halfway and the sub out is -10. I could push the Kicker CVRs a lot harder but tried to get better sound quality on the video. Also, I noticed on the video that the alternator is not keeping up with the capacitors meaning I need a more powerful alternator or battery. Not finished with this one yet. MTX JH600 10 out of 10. Kicker CVRs 2 out of 10. I will be showing more videos and different systems. Stay tuned!

@PINKY187187187 thanks! But i found a custom box at a pawn shop for only $40 that holds all 3 and looks badass. But, i sold them for more then i paid for them, and bought a single 10″ Kicker CVR for my car. it’s good enough for me for now. :) but thanks anyhow.

@PS3andPCgamereviews If you tell me how much space you want to use, i can help you design a box for the 3 subs.

@HutHanxana09 If you have the remote bass knob, the power light will only light up on the bass knob (too bright). It’s nice to have but put it somewhere out of view because it is very bright. I had to mount it in my console and you could tell when I was adjusting it because it lights up the whole truck.

@PINKY187187187 cool thanks, I just contact mtx they said is just fine, they said one light suppose to be on, other one is protection lights, if is on that mean something wrong.

@HutHanxana09 – You can feel the air coming out of the vents when it is working (put your hand over the top of the amp and you should feel air). My fan didn’t totally go out but it was making noise for the first 5 minutes after powering it up. It sounded like the bearings on the fan were going out. Hope this helps.

How can u tell if the fan went out, cuz I got the MTX JH1200. When i check the lights, only one is on was the power symbol. I think my fan went out too

@bigdog813 I recommend them to anyone who doesn’t care too much about SQ and wants SPL.

@Rahkeem1995 Dude amps like that come with crossovers in them.

PINKY187187187 July 31, 2010 at 1:23 am

I bought everything off Ebay during the winter. They were brand new not refurbished and all came with warranties.

poncho2188 July 31, 2010 at 1:39 am

where did you buy your system at?

PINKY187187187 July 31, 2010 at 2:05 am

I sold that system and the fan on the mtx jh600 was going out but it never got hot. I would go with the hifonics too. The only reason I had the mtx jh600 is because it was just coming out and I bought it for $79.00. This was my budget system. All new cheap $25 4 gauge wiring, $209 kicker subs/box, $29each for 2 tsunami 1.5 caps and $79 for the amp (under $350).

def the hifonics

TheWESTSIDERIDERS July 31, 2010 at 3:31 am

Do you know whether a mtx jh600 amp or a hifonics brutus bxi1610d is better?
